A Bear of A Play Ground In Montana's Play Ground

I had the great pleasure of participating in the blitz build of the Bear Mountain Play
Ground in Stevensville, Montana.  Over 700 volunteers came together over the course five days to build a wonderful place for families and children to meet and play in Lewis and Clark Park.  The transformation in those few days was incredible.

Lewis and Clark Park is the venue for Stevensville's iconic Creamery Picnic which
has been going on for over 100 years in Montana's oldest community.  The addition
of the Bear Mountain Play Ground is just one more jewel in this incredible crown.

The volunteers would meet at a designated area and someone would sign them in,
find out if they were capable of being skilled using saws etc. or if they could just
push a wheel barrow.  Some might be able to handle a shovel or man a tape measure.

I had the job of building two of the pyramid tops pictured here with me.  It took a
little while with some professional help from seasoned builders and a great guy from
Texas but I got the hang of it and we got most of the framing done in the course of
four or five hours.

The results were great.  I hope you get the chance to visit the park and Bear
Mountain Play Ground when you visit, or better yet, move to Montana. We'd love to
share the place with you.  There is also a great skate park being built too with the
help of some really famous people.  We won't be a name dropper but you'll see
when you get there.
