Ski Montana

Montana has great snow and the best snow in the state is arguably at Lost Trail Powder Mountain in the southern end of the Bitterroot Valley on the Montana-Idaho border.  In fact, at Lost Trail you can ski in both states depending on which lift you take and which slopes you are skiing.

I recently had a birthday and my son, who was visiting from Hawaii, treated me to a day of skiing Montana!

He learned to snow board on this mountain and when he comes back we like to hit the slopes.  We've brought the kids up skiing here and the "little Pineapples", as I call them, love the snow.  They take their surfing skills to the slopes and we have a great day of it.

This is great family fun and the cost is a fraction of what it is in other Montana communities or resorts.  Big Sky Resort and Whitefish Mountain are spectacular but they don't get any better snow than Lost Trail and the lift lines in the Bitterroot are tiny in comparison.  So if you like skiing, the Bitterroot holds a gem or a spot that we invite you to check out.
