Montana Stream Access Law

There are a lot of perks living in Big Sky Country.  On of those great perks is being able to recreate on the state's rivers and streams.  The state legislature made a great move in securing access to treasured fishing and floating for the public through the 1985 Montana Stream Access Law.  The law has been controversial in some instances and even an issue in this years gubernatorial race, if I believe the political ads.

Critters in the Bitterroot

I was at one of my listing the other day and I saw these little guys messing around.  Apparently they didn't realize how exposed they were.  I'm sure I made them nervous which I should never make any living being nervous.

There were three of them and I think raccoons are the missing link because of their opposable thumbs which makes them soooo human.  He was in a cherry tree that was not cut down by George Washington.

They are so cute and I love their masks.  They are out to rob something...

Laura likes to get out and ride when she can.  Our neighbors, Ron and Laurie do a lot of riding and Laura gets a chance to go with them once in a blue moon.

If you like horses and want to enjoy the Bitterroot life style, give Laura a call.  She can tell you the about the great horse properties AND the great places to ride...
An Agent of Change

Real estate agents get a bad rap.  I've heard it for years that they rank right up
there, or down, with white shoe wearing used car salesmen.....or your ambulance
chasing attorney.  I guess I have to agree in large part.  I've been a part of that
"fraternity" for nearly 30 years and I've seen some real dandies.  But my partner,
Laura Sherry, is a stand out.  I would like to share a little story about her
commitment to buyers.

She recently represented some great young first time home buyers who werev...
Bitterroot Valley Deer

Deer can be a real problem in the Bitterroot Valley.  There have been at any given time some 600+ killed on Eastside Highway between Stevensville and Hamilton causing comprehensive insurance premiums to be a little high for the Bitterroot Valley and communities.  Nonetheless, they are beautiful creatures that share our landscape and can be fine hunting trophies during the hunting season if you are lucky enough to get a tag for a big mule deer buck.

I caught this half dozen bucks hanging out...
